Many CICS applications are being deployed that take advantage of the CICS Open Transaction Environment (OTE). If the Application Time Facility (ATF) has been installed and these applications are being used in CICS regions that also have ATF/CICS enabled, there can be a performance impact if not configured appropriately. Also, Virtual Time is not provided to OTE transactions.
