CICS TS 1.3

Currently we are running Z/OS 1.4 with CICS/TS 1.3. Plan to move to Z/OS 1.7 with CICS/TS 3.1.
I can upgrade 1 system at a time, thus decided to upgrade the Z/OS to 1.7 and run CICS/TS 1.3 in there first.
On a second phase, upgrade the CICS/TS to 3.1.
My question: Can CICS/TS 1.3 run succesfully in Z/OS 1.7. Is there any additional steps I must take to ensure CICS/TS 1.3 can run in Z/OS 1.7.
