IBM® CICS® VSAM Recovery for z/OS® V4.3 recovers CICS and batch VSAM data following physical or logical corruption

CICS VSAM Recovery can quickly recover CICS and batch VSAM data after physical or logical corruption, improving CICS availability, and reducing compliance risks.

• Support for CICS Transaction Server V4.1 including extended addressability ESDSs used by CICS or by VSAM batch logging, and the ability to run in threadsafe mode
• Enhanced notification support enables CICS VSAM Recovery to recover files backed up by the ABARS function of Data Facility Storage Management Subsystem (DFSMS), REPRO command of Access method services (IDCAMS), and other backup products
• Batch backout for VSAM files enables optimization of batch jobs through removal of file copy steps
• Test forward recovery and backout procedures, to enable testing of recovery processes without affecting production data
• Disaster recovery reports allow customers to review and validate which backup and log datasets are needed at a remote site
• Powerful log stream management, including the ability to specify multiple UNDO Logs, Logstream Retention, a Logstream Copy utility, 'log of logs' scan automation, and a Journal Print utility
• Comprehensive authorization management capabilities
• Will provide Day 1 support for CICS TS V4.2
