Today MATTER OF FACT SOFTWARE announce the launch of CICS JS/Server Version 2.
This new solution serves several popular Open Source Javascript Libraries from CICS on z/OS.

Modern business applications demand user interfaces with sophisticated features. Many such
features are provided by web browsers that communicate with server technology to access corporate
data and drive business processes. In many large corporations, the server of choice with which the
browser communicates is the IBM mainframe.

AIX Issue ?

One of our Applications Programmers thinks that the Alternate index file isn't updating quickly enough, the following is the scenario;

His Cobol program runs to create invoices, the program has a process in it to detect & flag duplicate input to an error log. He has a instance where the program did not detect a duplicate & created a duplicate check for the same invoice. In his troubleshooting the problem he has one time had the duplicate entry, one after the other and the duplicate isn't flagged. In his other test he puts the duplicate entries further apart & the duplicate is flagged. He thinks the AIX file isn't processing quickly enough to post the duplicate.  is this possible, does the definition in the AIX file have an update timer ?? Any help or direction is appreciated ..

CICS JS/Server V1.1 includes support for the most up to date version of the Dojo Toolkit (1.7.2).

Dojo Toolkit 1.7.2 is compatible with earlier versions and allows pages to load faster.

Use the Dojo Toolkit to rapidly create modern web applications. Better still, do so using your mainframe to serve the Dojo Toolkit from CICS.

Take control of the Dojo Toolkit by serving it from your System Z Server.

Why not check out the sample code on our website that shows how CICS can be used to create web applications using the Dojo Toolkit.
