Diagnosing broken datasets using the VSAM RLS index trap

You would like to know how to have VSAM RLS detect corrupt indexes and take a system dump without recycling the SMSVSAM server. VSAM RLS APAR OW55096 incorporates existing trap code into the product to give you this functionality. The trap checks the index before a write to a VSAM RLS file and causes an abend 0F4 if the index is corrupted.
