Empty data set for CICS extrapartition TDQUEUE when browsing from TSO

Records do not appear to be written to an extrapartition transient data queue (TDQ). Message EMPTY DATA SET OR MEMBER is returned, when you close the TDQ to CICS and browse the associated dataset using TSO option 3.4. Your CICS log contains message IEF237I JES2 ALLOCATED TO tdqueue-name. CICS trace and CEDF show the writes to the TDQ are successful.

IEC161I 052 013 error during OPEN processing of a CICS dataset from a batch job

You receive message IEC161I 052(013)-084 (RC052 RSN013) when a batch job is trying to open a dataset already open to CICS. The batch job and CICS have no problem sharing the dataset when CICS and the batch job are in separate MVS images. However, you receive the message when running CICS and the batch job in the same MVS image.

CICS TCPIPSERVICE is not picking up the dynamic VIPA address

You are implementing Dynamic Virtual IP Address (VIPA). If a CICS Transaction Server TCPIPSERVICE is defined with IPADDRESS of 'blank', CICS will display the default stack IP address. However a 'netstat' will display the Dynamic VIPA address. Your WebSphere MQ and DB2 applications do not specify an IP address, but they display the Dynamic VIPA address. Only CICS is defaulting to the stack address whenever the IP address is left blank.
